DESCRIPTION:State Senator Seth Lewis (R-Bartlett) and State Representative Amy Grant (R-Wheaton) are partnering with the Illinois Treasurer’s Office to connect Illinoisans with more than $3.5 billion in unclaimed property and cash. \nFrom 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM on Wednesday\, September 27\, residents can meet with a counselor from the Treasurer’s Office at the unclaimed property event in the Carol Stream Public Library. \n“One in four people who search the Treasurer’s Office ICash database discover property or cash they can claim\,” said Lewis. “The ICash counselors at this event can assist with a search and help people file claims.” \nUnclaimed Property Day\nWednesday\, September 27\, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM\nCarol Stream Public Library\n616 Hiawatha Drive\, Carol Stream \n“My office is always happy to help constituents navigate the ICash system and connect them with their unclaimed property they might not even know is out there\,” said Grant. “We hope our neighbors connect with us at this event and return their hard-earned money back to their wallets” \nFor additional information about this event\, please contact Senator Lewis’ office at (630) 349-0645 or Representative Grant’s office at (331) 218-4182.
