Representatives Grant, Sanalitro and Senator Lewis and to Host Free Kids Fair on June 23

Carol Stream, IL—Family-friendly fun including face painting, a Brookfield Zoo animal show, storytime, and a “Touch a Truck” exhibit will be featured at this year’s FREE Kids Fair hosted by Senator Seth Lewis (R-Bartlett), and State Representatives Amy Grant (R-Wheaton) and Jennifer Sanalitro (R-Bartlett) on Friday, June 23.

“This free event is a good way for kids and their parents or caregivers to come out and have some fun while learning valuable information on a variety of topics,” said Lewis. “I hope families will come out and enjoy the ‘Touch-a-Truck’ exhibit and take the opportunity to meet some of the local law enforcement officers and first responders who keep our communities safe.” 

Demonstrations at this year’s expo include: Storytime with the Bloomingdale Public Library (9:30), The Brookfield Zoo Animal Ambassadors (10:00), and a dance performance by Center Stage Dance Studio (11:00). Facepainting and the DuPage Children’s Museum Pop-up will be available for enjoyment throughout the three-hour fair. 

“Young people are our most precious asset, so it is only fitting we bring this Kids Fair to the children of our region,” said Grant. “Our programing will strike the perfect balance of curiosity, fun, and entertainment. Give your kids something to remember and join us for this action-packed event!”  

“Our Summer Kids’ Fair is set to be a celebration of laughter, learning, and plenty of fun,” added Sanalitro. “We encourage you and your families to attend this kid-centered event that we promise will be one of your most action-packed days of the summer!”   

Expo participants include: Birth to Five, Village of Bloomingdale, Bloomingdale Library, Bloomingdale Park District, Bloomingdale Police Department, Brookfield Zoo, Carol Stream Police Department, Center Stage Dance School, Northwestern Medicine, ComEd, IL Dept. of Human Services/DayOne Pact, DuPage Childrens Museum, DuPage County Division of Transportation, DuPage County Health Dept., DuPage County Regional Office of Education, DuPage County Sheriff, Forest Preserve District of DuPage, Forest Preserve District of DuPage- Law Enforcement, IL Dept. of Transportation, IL Conservation Police/Department of Natural Resources, Itasca Fire Department, Kid Strong, Midwest Speech Therapy, Office of the IL Attorney General, Office of the IL Secretary of State, Office of the IL Treasurer, PACE, People’s Resource Center, Sparkles Entertainment, Superior Ambulance, and the University of Illinois Extension.
