Synthetic opioids, including fentanyl, are now the most common drugs involved in drug overdose deaths in the United States.
In Illinois, we are fighting this dangerous epidemic by raising awareness about the harm of fentanyl and giving our communities new tools to prevent overdose.
In fact, I was able to support some of the tools the came out of the General Assembly this year. They include House Bills 3210, 3203, 1121 – all of which will help to reduce tragic overdoes deaths from stealing the lives of our loved ones.
