SPRINGFIELD – I’m beyond proud of the students who traveled to Springfield this week to voice their support for the Invest in Kids Scholarship program.
Lawmakers have no good excuse to continue avoiding an extension for this program.
Since it’s inception, the program has funded nearly 38,000 scholarships, with the average family benefiting only making approximately $45,000/year.
Failing to act will cause many of these amazing students to lose their opportunity at a safe and quality education.
Over the next few weeks, I plan to share some of the reasons why these amazing students have so much love for their scholarships. The testimony will be directly from the students and parents who have seen this program make a difference in their lives.
