Across our state, hardworking families are feeling the pressure of rising costs—higher grocery bills, skyrocketing energy prices, and ever-increasing taxes. While Springfield politicians continue reckless spending, families are forced to do more with less.
It’s time for real relief. Thats why I am proud to endorse the IL House Republicans Relief for Working Families Legislative Package.
Relief for Working Families Legislative Package includes:
HB1351 – Reducing Barriers to Start Act: Encourages the elimination of all first-year business fees relating to license or registration.
HB3807 ITRADE Grant Program – Creates the Illinois Trades Retention and Development Encouragement (ITRADE) Grant Program to support high school graduates seeking a degree or certificate in the trades.
HB1752 – Creates an income tax deduction for employers that provide educational assistance programs for employees.
HB3821 – Raises the maximum amount of the education expense tax credit to $1,500 from the current $750.
HB3812 – Waives state professional licensing renewal fees for those making less than $50,000/year.
HB1383 – Removes taxes on tips by creating an income tax deduction for gratuities.
