At a time when lines at the DMV are hours long, State Representative Amy Grant (R-Wheaton) is offering her constituents in the 42nd House District the opportunity to complete some basic driver’s license facility transactions at a mobile DMV event that will be held at her district office. The event will be by appointment only.
Rep. Grant’s mobile DMV event will take place on Thursday, September 10 from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Rep. Grant’s Wheaton office, located at 416 E. Roosevelt Road, Suite #111. Services offered include:
- Traditional driver’s license renewals (Real IDs cannot be obtained at this event)
- Vehicle sticker renewals
- Completing change of address forms
“I have hosted several mobile DMV events over the last two years and they have been incredibly successful,” said Rep. Grant. “We had to suspend the program for the last six months, but I’m happy to once again be offering this convenience to my constituents in the 42nd District.”
Representatives from the Secretary of State’s driver services department will be on hand to help drivers complete the services through individual scheduled appointments. Residents are encouraged to sign up through this link (preferred). Appointments may also be made by calling Rep. Grant’s legislative office.
