State Grants for Local Fire Departments

ILLINOIS – State Representative Amy Grant (R-Wheaton) is encouraging local fire departments across Illinois to take advantage of a funding opportunity aimed at improving public safety and community infrastructure. A total of $5 million in grant funding is now available for fire departments across the state to rehabilitate or build fire stations. Applications must be submitted by February 28, 2025.

“Supporting our local fire departments with quality infrastructure is essential to keep the public safe and our residents minds’ at ease,” said Rep. Grant. “All fire departments in DuPage County are encourage to apply for these funds, especially if in need of updated infrastructure and facilities.”

The grant funding is part of a state initiative to support essential emergency services and ensure fire departments have the resources needed to effectively protect Illinois residents. Fire departments are encouraged to act swiftly to take full advantage of this opportunity.
