Rep. Grant Reminds Drivers to Stay Safe During National Work Zone Awareness Week

DUPAGE COUNTY – State Representative Amy Grant (R-Wheaton) is reminding drivers to stay alert and slow down as part of National Work Zone Awareness Week to highlight the importance of safety for both road workers and drivers.

“Road work is essential for improving our roads and keeping infrastructure strong, but it also comes with risks,” said Rep. Grant. “Every cone, sign, and barrier is there to protect lives. We all have a role to play in keeping our roads safe.”

Work zones require extra attention, reduced speeds, and responsible driving. As construction season ramps up, Rep. Grant encourages motorists to be patient, stay focused, and help prevent accidents.

“Let’s do our part to protect the men and women who work hard to improve our roads—and protect ourselves and our passengers, too,” added Grant.
