How to Apply for State Grants

Visit grants.illinois.gov to learn about how to receive grants from the State of Illinois. All Grantees must be registered (outlined below) before grant submission is reviewed. Please begin this process at least three weeks prior to the grant due date. Click here to view sample form.

All entities applying for a grant must:

• Create an account with the State of Illinois
• Have a valid DUNS number
• Have a current SAM.gov account and it must remain current during the application process. Please allow three weeks for SAM.gov registration
• Be in good standing with the Illinois Secretary of State
• Complete a Fiscal and Administrative Risk Assessment accessed on Grantee Portal
• Not be on the Federal Excluded Parties List
• Not be on the Illinois Stop Payment List
